The Quilted Cactus made its debut in Surprise, AZ on September 2, 2008. Since then we have been working hard to provide the best experience to each person that walks through our door.
Our Promise to You
At The Quilted Cactus we believe in freedom of expression. There is no one right way to piece a quilt top, sew a skirt or embroider a jacket. There are only as many techniques as one is willing to teach and learn. The employees at The Quilted Cactus come from varied sewing backgrounds and are waiting to teach the new and seasoned sewer alike. Whether you are looking for fabric, a new machine, a new technique or simply some sewing advice—we are here for you.

Our Family
Kathy Rodolph (on right) is the owner of The Quilted Cactus. Originally from the Chicago area, this retired U.S. Air Force Officer moved to Angel Fire, NM in 2002 and opened her first quilt shop—Rags and Old Iron. Upon moving to Sun City Festival in October 2008, Kathy decided that Surprise, AZ needed a quilt shop of its very own. Someplace where both the new sewer and the seasoned quilter could go to learn something new and be surrounded by bountiful choices to help them do so. Thus, The Quilted Cactus was born.
Jacqui Reeve (on left) is the manager of The Quilted Cactus. Born in Long Island, NY, Jacqui grew up antiquing with her parents and working on home improvement projects with her dad. She moved to AZ in 1995 and brought with her a love of all things vintage, a passion for home décor and of course--her craftiness. She has been in retail management for over 12 years specializing in display work.
